Xiaohe is a village located in central China’s Shanxi province which is just half-an-hour train distance from Beijing. Though not far from the country’s capital, where the ever increasing population and constant in-flow of money have forced out the traditional culture and its beautiful architecture, things in Xiaoohe are somehow still able to remain in the most untouched way. An easy one-day escape from the metropolitan buzz.
